The focus of juni Moon is on creating sustainable and chemical free toys for your children. This means your child will be handling toys that dont contain harsh plastics, colour dyes, heavy metals and fire retardents that can be ingested through touch or even biting toys, and we all know children love to explore toys by placing them inside their mouths. Ingesting such products has been known to cause development issies in children, cancer and various orther teririfying health issues.
Why Juni Moon
Unlike mass factory produced toys, our felt, teak and rattan toys are free from harsh chemicals and dyes and toxins. The teak products we produce are protected with a very light coating of tung seed oil to help protect the wood, this is a natural product found in nature. Our felt toys are made using natural wool from a sheep, the wool is washed and then dyed using natural AZO dyes, which prodimonatly get their colours from plants, minerals and animals. Juni Moons rattan products are made from natural climbing palm, a bit like bamboo. Unlike bamboo, Rattan isnt hollow but solid inside and very flexible which makes it excellent for weaving and making shapes with.

Juni Moons focus is on creatng open ended toys that spark imagination and creativity. An open ended toy is a toy that can be used in many different ways, for an example, a yo yo isnt really an open ended toy, it only really has one use, a basket however could be used to collect shells at the beach, as a bed for dolls and as a collecting vessil for flowers or berries. When desiging new toys we are always trying to create them in a way they can be used for multiple kinds of play
Designed to be passed down to the next generation
Juni Moon has been opearing since 2019 and in those 6 years the quality of our products has grown in leaps and bounds, this isnt by luck, this is a lengthy and expensive process of trial and error, of having entire shipments deemed 'unable to sell' due to being uhappy with the quality, we have worked hard to ensure our products quality is excellent and can be stored so these items can be played with by the next generation of children. Rattan items keep well if well looked after.
Wool items are naturally durable, wool has natural antibacterial qualities and will repel dust mites and is not prone to mold if kept away from moisture. To store felt use a airtight plastic container or calico storage bag, you can include natural repellants inside such as cedar blocks or a dried lavender bag.
